Welcome!

This is the no nonsense blog about my life. I am currently living in a mobile home park in Ashland, OR with my hubs and four kids. Check out the About me tab for more details. I am fairly new to this blog stuff, so be nice. Some days I post some I don't. My life is busy so I do my best. I love comments and would love for you to follow along.

I got in!

I found out I got into the program on March 7th! I was so excited and happy.  That was just the first step though.  I am currently working on preparing two monologues to audition to get into the BFA performance program and a third monologue to audition for Our Town and a movement piece to audition for The White Fugue by James Donlon.

The monologues for the BFA program can only be one minute each. So, I have to change them from my original audition.

The cool thing is...I got to meet up with a sweet  Mormon gal who just graduated from the BFA program at SOU and is in one of the shows at OSF and understudying other shows there too.  She gave me some tips and advice and she also is setting up a chance for me to meet with one of the leading ladies at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival to help me with my monologues to get into the BFA program and the shows! So yay!

When I get into the program I will have a chance to be an actor trainee at OSF!!!!!!!!!  So, that is why it is so very important I do well. Along with wanting to improve my craft and all that jazz.

And just because it cracks me up. When my sister came to visit us after we had moved to Ashland we went and ate at a Bento place by the theatre, it is right by the Big Town Hero place. Well, guess who show up?  The Artistic director of OSF along with his spouse and kids. He was sitting right behind me, like I could have touched him, but I was too chicken to say anything and I didn't want to interrupt their meal. So, A3 had us get our picture with him in the background. Unfortunately, he looked away. He is to the right of my hair.
